At first, I thought it was a planet—no strobing or twinkling. Then I noticed it moving, which made me think it was a satellite. It traveled north to south, but once directly overhead, it performed a sweeping, C-shaped turn. For 10–15 minutes, it glided around in a small portion of the sky, almost whimsically. It grew smaller—about the size of a pin—making it difficult to track until it became stationary. After about 10 minutes of no movement, I continued my walk.

Out of curiosity, I wondered if it might grow brighter or blink, and I “asked” it to come closer (silly, I know), but nothing happened. Did anyone else see something unusual in central Kansas last night?
