Whats with the sudden increase in drone and rob sightings lately?

Heres a video of a sighting from my friend who lives in japan. She captured this recording herself. Based from the trend in this sub, and some of my personal friends(people that are far from interested in these matters) theres definitely a big increase in recording these phenomenon. Are these just regular human drones? Camera glitch? Any accepted theories?
