Purple Flashing Light 2hrs

Location: Kitsap County, WA

We observed a flashing light in the sky facing south, possibly over the Purdy or Gig Harbor area. The light appeared purplish to the eye when viewed earlier around 8 PM. What caught our attention was that it lingered in the same spot for over two hours, unlike typical aircraft or celestial objects. There was no sound coming from it that we could hear, but it also seemed pretty for away.

We know Kitsap County has a significant military presence with several bases, but this wasn’t facing any of them. The closest base in this direction is Joint Base Lewis-McChord, which is quite far away. Over the years, we've occasionally noticed similar flashing lights in this part of the sky, but this one stood out due to its prolonged presence.

We checked sky maps and found no celestial objects that could explain it. While I was about to check flight radar, the light suddenly disappeared when I looked up again. Has anyone else seen similar phenomena in this area, or does anyone have thoughts on what it could have been?
