Orbs Above Clouds in Tampa, 1.12.25
Time: 8:00 - 8:20 pm EST (periods of a minute or two without activity, on and off)
Location: Tampa, FL (my location), but these lights were over the Brandon area 3-4 miles eastward

It’s unusually cold here in Florida right now, but for some reason I wanted to go outside and stargaze for a moment. I put on my blanket and stepped outside. I live right off Adamo Dr in Tampa, and was looking in the direction of the Brandon Mall and I-75. I know Top Golf is there. (I’ve lived in this area since 2018 and have never seen anything like this in the sky. I also go to Universal frequently and have seen their lights; this was not that, lol.)

Welp, stargazing was a flop because of how intensely foggy it was. But I stood there for a minute and looked westward. Suddenly I saw a vague flash across the sky, almost like a shooting star, but larger and dull, not bright. It caught my attention, and I glanced in that direction. I saw a small collection of them appear and start fluttering, almost dancing pretty tightly together. They separated a bit and each started to do their own things. I also saw what looked like four of them in the shape of a large square bigger than the Big Dipper (maybe twice the size), but it was very vague and went away, so I didn’t get it on video. 

Please note: The lights were coming from ABOVE the clouds. That is why this was so unusual and striking to me. The video’s contrast was increased to show this better, but it’s hard to see that through the video.

I would really love your opinions. I know it’s not exciting, but it was interesting to me because I asked them to reappear so I can show my friend (and subsequently Reddit lmao).

This is the little show they put on after that. I have another video of it, but this one is clearer. You can see it going back and forth, then zipping all over the sky, but it’s very faint so you have to look closely.

Also note: My best friend is an aircraft mechanic that I told real-time and he immediately checked a radar map for me. He said the only thing flying over there at that time was a Medivac (which I heard toward Brandon Regional probably), and he said they don’t have spotlights. The helicopter was later gone in this recording at 8:26 pm, but you can still see the orbs above the clouds.
