Tonight in Maine

Tonight in Maine
Was out for a walk with my girlfriend.  Saw this in the western sky.  Looking out over main land Maine.  They seemed to be going up into the atmosphere you can see them passing behind a cloud.  Almost reminded me of WWII anti aircraft fire. 

That is Portland Jetport on the foreground but air traffic moves North to South here and pictures are facing west.  Also I don't think that many plains ever landed at Portland jet port on one day.
