After two single white flashes, minutes later a slow bright white light object appears flashing and fades out -gone !

On July 31, 2017, at about 12:50 am at home in Oshawa, Ontario.  I was outside on my deck facing west towards Whitby, Ontario having a smoke.
Looking about in the clear night sky for anything unusual.
After about a minute or so noticed a single bright flash of white light.
Being so quick one wonders if there really was a flash seen?  Due to staring and seeing nothing more.
Until about twenty-thirty seconds later.
Again another single flash of white light appears and disappears.
In the same area of the sky this is witnessed.
Staring intensely in the northwest area for anything else.
Again see nothing until about three -five minutes later.
Shocked to see a bright white light object appear.
Looked low in altitude Object was flashing a high to low white light moving very slow.
You could even make out the structure of the object as to it's brightness flashing intensity It appeared longish and dark It just moved directly west from my position northwest.
Maybe traveled about quarter to a half a mile away until it just faded out.
The duration of the sighting lasted maybe about thirty seconds Again staring in shock wondering what it was that I had just seen.
Continued to watch for it about another ten minutes Staring in same area of the sky Then after seeing nothing else.
I just went back inside the house thinking was that same object in the area ? From single bright white interval flashes.
Then later appearing in front of my eyes - gone ! Is this some form of visual contact directed at me ? Should I be frightened or merely fascinated what I had just seen ? Weird and interesting in observing another different type of UFO sighting.
In truth I do not know if this would be considered 'two' different sightings ? Or the same one ?
