I was about 12 years old, walking with my dog close to a swamp at 10am all became deathly silent. I looked up to my right at an oval defined misty shape about 300 feet away with a red hew on the left end (side)

NARRATIVE

My dog took off, I called to my mother, she saw it.  I looked at it for about a few minutes, It then moved back and forth.  Then took off upwardly.  
At that time all sound came back!  Birds, Frogs, etc! I did turn on the radio and a few jets were dispatched from Stewart air force base in Newberg, NY to check a report.   
About twenty years later, in Putney, Vermont, I experienced the same silence,  But that time I heard voices!  After a short time (5min), all returned to normal!  I at that time felt watched?
