NARRATIVE

Bright, oval-shaped light.  Seemed like a dark shading across horizontal center.  Southern sky. 90° from southern horizon.  Est 1/8" by 1/4". ?  Distance.  Non-moving.  Didn't think at the time, then later-wait!  That was impossible!  So don't know how long.  Gone 20 min later.
Possible sighting of Mars??  PD
