3 solid red lights, not blinking, slow moving, "V" formation, disappeared up

My friend and I were sitting on the top deck of my house in Mount Pleasant by the Ravenel bridge watching the sunset when I noticed this bright solid red light, not blinking or flashing, slowly moving across the West horizon - if I had to guess it would be over Daniel Island or maybe even farther away. We stood up to get a better look and saw two more red lights following behind it and then it seemed like they got in a “V” formation before slowly disappearing upwards one at a time. Definitely wasn’t a plane bc the lights on planes flash and move waaaaaay faster than these lights did as they were almost hovering before disappearing up.
