My oldest sister was born at Walker AFB (Roswell) NM in 1952, I was born there as well in 1954. My Dad, now deceased, was an Air Force Air Policeman and worked nights on the flightline at Walker. Sometime between 52 and 54 a UFO landed on the flightline at Walker. My mother told me of the morning he came home from work and he was terribly excited and at the same time freightened about something that had happened on the flightline that night. He said a large unidentified craft landed directly on the flightline that night. They had surrounded it for several hours. There was no contact between the occupants and the base officials. Finally, just as suddenly as it landed it took off and was gone. Everyone who had been present for the event and had been told that the incident was to be classified top secret and that they would not speak of it to anyone. It also interesting to note that when my mother told me about this she said that during the time they were stationed at walker no one had ever mentioned the original Roswell incident. That they heard about it years later on TV. Seems odd that they would be there 3 or 4 years after the original event and no one ever talked about it even in passing.
