Clear sky with defined vertical split in color, 2 orbs on either side of the split line

Hello, I saw a defined vertical split in color in the clear sky when looking west after sunset. The split seems more defined at the horizon and emanates from about where the sun set. I attributed this to a normal explainable event that occurs under certain conditions and took a picture to capture the interesting sunset. Recently when I showed the picture to a friend who pointed out that there are two orbs on either side of the split line which appear to have depth. We both felt this was a very unique image and thought it would be best to share with an expert to get an educated option on what we might have been looking at in regard to the split in the sky and the orbs.
