We saw and recorded rings. It looked like a planet or bright star, but we couldn't find a reference on Google Sky or our books. We are skeptics, but we know we saw something we couldn't identify. Our son also had a complete meltdown which is not like him. I say that because the other questions don't ask about behaviors.
