I was 8 years old, riding my bicycle home when I saw the object and I got off my bicycle to watch it.

There was only one object. It was saucer-shaped, appeared metallic and had multi-colored lights around the edge. It came from my left, hovered and then flew off to my right at a speed that was much faster than any known aircraft.The lights flashed off and on. There was no sound of an engine or motor…it was completely silent. Everything was silent. The object was only about 100 yards away from me and approximately 250 feet in the air. I judged the size to be about 200 feet across. The speed with which this object moved was breath-taking. After observing the object, I got back on my bike and continued home and told my brother. He said there had been frequent sightings around Battle Creek at that time. Although this happened 75 years ago, my memory of this has stayed with me. It’s definitely something one couldn’t forget. I hope this helps with any research being done now.
