I saw what appeared to be a star, but it was moving in very weird directions

Hi, my names Dylan, early this morning I was sitting on the little roof ledge I spent most mornings and nights on, I enjoy trying to find constellations ( I never manage to see) & the somewhat common occurrence of falling stars or meteors which I have a keen eye for, and I was paying attention to one in particular because it wasn’t going the usual left to right or right to left in a downward slope, i could only beat describe it as it was leveling out, almost as if it was dropping altitude but trying to control it, and coming from someone who’s on the edge of what to believe or not it had my attention, the entire remaining 30 seconds of the sight it moved in various directions, sometimes going slightly up at an angle, and sometimes moving strait down, and I don’t know if this next part relates to it at all, but it was a weird quiet that night, even before I saw it, no crickets, frogs, cars, just the white noise the silence was enhancing, I wasn’t sure who to contact so I researched this website is one of the best places to contact
