My girlfriend and I saw a diamond shaped object which quickly ascended and traveled at extraordinary speeds

as my girlfriend and I were walking up the stairs to her car in the parking lot we saw a diamond shaped object hovering a few hundred feet with a light at each of the four points and an additional light in the center of the object being the total visible amount of lights to 5, this object quickly ascended to at least a thousand feet in the air and slowly took off out of view in about 5-10 seconds. This object had no visible means of propulsion and made no noise which I found very interesting after initially thinking of it as a drone, I have no idea what this was but I am ver certain it was no plane flying into Birmingham airport and it certainly was no helicopter or drone considering how large it was.
