A very bright solid object flew right over us and paused about 100 ft. Above us.

About 2:45 am at the dock area right on water line, we looked up after realizing a bright light was hovering over us. Very white light like I’d never seen before…solid. The craft was very large with the bottom completely engulfed by white light. I believe it stayed about 100 feet over us. It seemed like a brief time. There was no sound at all. Suddenly it just disappeared, just as silently as it had come. I couldn’t talk. My friend asked me if I saw it and seemed relieved when I told him what I saw. He told me we weren’t going to tell anyone, and as far as I know, neither he or I did. On reflection, I’m surprised it didn’t frighten us. My friend didn’t want to be ridiculed. We haven’t talked about it since. I have shared this sighting with my husband.
