Quickly moving and dividing, colorful lights, multiples of areas, Also seems translucent as if it’s opening and closing it’s wings

I’ve watched these lights for the past eight months they move erratically up down sideways. The number of lights divide when attempting to photograph typically the lights turn off and our seen in another location. There was roughly about 12 separate lights. They moved all around the property when I went outside to see them they followed. You could not make out anything other than the lights.
