Large stationary bright white glowing orb, twice the size of the moon which was also in view. Disappeared in an instant.

Night time, around 10pm. Warm evening so we had the curtains and windows open. Clear sky. Notice bright light through the trees. Thought it was the moon. Then I saw the moon. On closer inspection; It wasn’t the moon. It was to low. Far brighter, 30-50% larger, seemed closer. It was more reflective than the moon. Almost shimmery? Warm white, very bright. But despite being so bright didn’t cast any beams of light, so not a spotlight? It wasn’t moving, was hovering in space. Close over our house. Was not a flair or lantern or drone. We live in bulwark that sits above the main town and have good visibility other than the trees. Furthest away it could’ve is been over the river wye, which is around 200ft away, so over the water?
Tell Partner, they go for a closer look and it disappears into nowhere. Just vanishes. We both saw it though, whole event lasted 30-40 seconds.
It made no sounds. Area was very calm and still during sighting. We are familiar with the aircraft that fly over, usually daily- it was no plane or helo, and there was nothing on the flight radar or flight tracker groups that suggested it was an aircraft. We were and are still perplexed by what we saw and cannot explain it.
