Very large, 3 pronged, sometimes looking pretzel-shaped, moved in one direction, then hovered in clouds for 10 minutes before I left

I noticed a large black object gliding through the sky, moving much more slowly than the airplanes in the area. It appeared much higher than the airplanes too, so it appeared to be larger than a jet airplane. Its shape looked at first like a large bird, then like a Y, and sometimes pretzel-shaped. The shape was difficult to make out. After floating across maybe a third of the sky, it began to hover just below the clouds, and it hovered in one spot for about 10 minutes before I left the area. It seemed too large and strangely shaped to be a drone.
