huge metal ball shaped ship hanging low in air then moved away at 2 o'clock angle at great speed.

my brother a friend and i, at about 3pm in the afternoon looked up and saw a space ship. it was huge like a big silver metal ball hanging in the air below the clouds (it was sunny with a few low puffy white clouds against a clear blue sky) .it was perhaps three times as long a dc-10 airplane, it had no markings and no seams.
we stood their looking and it knew we saw it.i taped my friend with my left elbow and wispered go get somebody trying not to move my lips but it knew somehow and before my friend could turn around the ship shuttered and moved away at about a 2 o'clock angle at great speed, their was no sound or exhaust.
