Light that zipped, down, right, and down to the ground

We were palying touch football in a neighbors yard, it was evening, but still light.
Someone said look at that! When i looked i saw a light in the sky. It dropped downward, then over to the right, then down to the ground? This was on Bolster Street and the UFO was about 5 miles away in what is called Evergreen, a wooded place next to the bay.
I know of nothing (human) that could move that fast. It was zip, zip, zip.
We were all astounished and would never forget it.
Date of incident almost certainly is approximate, although the witness does not indicate that fact. PD
