One hundred years ago in Carroll Co., MO. {The lights go on}

I can't recall the whole story, but there was an article in Carrollton, MO, newspaper that they printed one hundred years before of a reincuring advent every evening about 6 miles northwest of carrollton, mo.  Dozens of persons in wagon were going out to the location to see lighted objects in formation.  This happened over several weeks. 
The newspaper should have everything on cd or micro fic.  A condense story was published 4 or 5 years ago. ((name deleted))
Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate.  We would be grateful if the source of the report, or someone from Carrollton, would explore the newspapers and send photocopies of the articles.  PD
