NARRATIVE

On Cape Cod, summer of 1981 or 1982, I saw three sets of lights in a cloudless night sky. They were bullseye-shaped, about the size of a dime held at arm's length, arranged in an equilateral triangle. 
There was no noise, they didn't move, and nothing appeared to be projecting them from anywhere (onto what, anyway? There were no clouds in the sky!), and they just hung there, all night as far as I know.
I couldn't tell whether they were objects; they looked more like shaped starlight than anything else.
