NARRATIVE

My mom and homesteaded in Montana in 1916.  We moved down to Billings in 1936 when I was about 10.  There was a preacher that lived next door to us.  They took care of an old man that homesteaded about 30 miles frome me parents.  I used to go over and visit him.  
One day he said a meteor came down and tore his windmill all to pieces.  He said great big pieces laid out in his barnyard for many years   He said he had a piece of it in the house.  It looked like a piece of stainless steel or aluminum, about 3 inches wide, about 1 foot long   Whatever happened to it, I have no idea.  If that was a meteor, it would have leveled half the state of Montana.
