20 orange shining round objects moving silently across the night sky, mostly one following another, a few in a small group.

We saw approximately 20 brightly lit  orangish colored orbs silently traveling across the sky.  They mostly flew overhead one after another, inconsistently spaced, with a few flying side by side.  
One of them was decidedly red.  They were all brightly lit.  They looked like nothing we'd ever seen before.  
Neither my wife nor I can explain what we saw, but we're absolutely certain it wasn't planes or helicopters.  
The orbs were completely silent and moved smoothly at the same speed and along the same vector.
