I was 11 years old in 1977. This is pretty close to what I saw but I ran out of ChatGP tweaks before it could get it exactly right. Broad daylight, drifted slowly, like 2 MPH, over our house. Was about 200 feet up, maybe a little less. Silent. Definitely metallic, with a dull finish that reminded me of a battleship at the time. I remember being confused because it was obviously an advanced craft but it also looked really old and used. I remember thinking it looks like it has travelled a long ways. No seams visible, no windows, no markings I could see, just a giant tube. It was a little fatter than the image. Also witnessed by my friend (we were playing in front yard when we saw it), and my Mom who just saw it as it was going over the hill past our house, we were kind of in a small valley. ….this sparked a still- to- this -day, fascination with this subject as I’ve had definitive (to me) , proof that there is something out there. The only explanation other than what it presented to be, an advanced craft not of human origin, is some secret project thing but why fly it over a suburban neighborhood in broad daylight?
