Blue orb/light

I was around 12 yrs old me and my older sister was walking a friend home, and as we approached her driveway, a blue ball of light shot out from the top of the trees came down about 2 feet off the ground in front of us and shot across the road into a barn that was really close to where we were walking and disappeared. It was the shape of a baseball and around the same size. It was daytime still, but it seemed to have been lit up.
