Anchorage, AK reporting in. Saw an orb the other night. Started recording it after noticing strange movement. Wanted to share my story.

So I've been reluctant to share this for the past few weeks, because all I have is my word and 3 useless videos. But I recently saw some photos/videos on here that looked like what I saw. So here goes.

I live in Anchorage, AK. Which is very close to a major military base (JBER). The other night I went out for a smoke, and looked up, as I often do. And I saw a BRIGHT orange orb flying slowly in a straight line, before switching to flying in a rapid zig-zag pattern for a few moments. It took me a while to come to the realization that I should start recording. And by the time I did, the rapid movements had stopped, and so consequently the videos I took are utterly useless, in my opinion.

The videos I took are of a bright orange orb being mostly motionless in the sky. My phone does not do it justice. For approximately 4 minutes.

After I gave up on recording and decided to go inside after standing out in the Alaskan winter for approximately 20 minutes, the orb seemed to follow me (moving through the treeline, so I had a frame of reference) as I walked back inside.

I feel stupid for posting this without any helpful, supporting evidence. But since what I saw matches up with some better footage I've seen on here recently. I'm sharing.

I can upload the videos if anyone is interested. But they don't show anything that I believe is of any value. Especially due to the (lack of) quality of nighttime cell phone videos.

I checked Skyview, and it showed nothing near what I was looking at. I did not check Flightradar or any aircraft tracking apps.

I would love a prosaic explanation, and I don't have exact GPS coordinates, but it's near the intersection of Raspberry and Northwood.

Please don't roast me too hard for not having much of anything useful to submit besides my story. I'm just trying to contribute to the discussion. And again I will upload the videos if anyone cares.
