Sighting in the Costa Rican Cloudforest

Duration: Total of ten minutes, but only a minute filmed.

Number of witnesses: Just me and the jungle creatures.

Description of sighting: On Saturday night, while on my back porch in a remote area of Costa Rica (between Cartago and the Panamanian border), I observed an unidentified aerial object approximately 100 yards away and 50 feet in the air. The object was triangular in shape, with each side measuring approximately 8–10 feet. It featured red and green lights and a central protrusion on one side, giving it a silhouette similar to a Christmas tree.

When recorded on my phone, the object appeared as a white strobing pulse, significantly different from its appearance to the naked eye. It moved erratically—similar to the flight pattern of a large insect—before rapidly accelerating and disappearing from view. Given the area's lack of military presence (Costa Rica has no standing armed forces) and minimal drone activity, I am unable to attribute this sighting to conventional aircraft or common hobbyist drones.
