Orange Lights Formation Movement

At approximately 8:40pm I saw an orange light at approx 20 degrees elevation at heading due west at 270 degrees. This orange light was as bright as the star Sirius in magnitude. I have lived by this airport for years. There is frequent air traffic, but this was different. I wasn't like anything I ever saw before.
