Colorful, Stationary Objects with Unknown Motion and Sound

The object was the size of a large star. It was blinking and pulsating rapidly, and it was changing colors. It emitted all colors of the rainbow. It was not moving, and a shape could not be discerned. It could be mistaken for a star, but I have never seen a star behave this way.
